These Terms & Conditions apply to every reservation made on kanlodge.com for stays at KAN Boutique Lodge, experiences and private transportation. Please choose the section for your booking. The General section applies to all bookings. By booking you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms together with our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
2.1 Experiences
KAN offers selected experiences around Lake Atitlán, such as sailing, quetzal watching, romantic picnics and yoga. Experiences may be delivered by independent local guides or providers.
2.2 Requests & guide confirmation
Sending a request does not create a confirmed booking. The assigned guide may accept, decline or propose another date or time. A proposed time must be accepted by you before payment. If you decline it, KAN may offer another alternative or close the request.
2.3 Payment & confirmation
After acceptance you receive a secure payment link. Full payment (100%) is required. The experience is confirmed only after your payment is verified. You then receive a confirmation email with the experience details and your guide's contact details.
2.4 Cancellation
See the Cancellation & Refund Policy, Experiences section. The cancellation period shown on the experience page before payment applies.
2.5 Weather & safety
Ordinary rain, clouds or reduced visibility do not qualify for a refund outside the free-cancellation period. If KAN or the guide decides conditions are unsafe, the experience may be postponed or cancelled. In that case you choose to reschedule or to receive a full refund. Safety decisions are final.
2.6 Your responsibilities
Follow the guide's safety instructions, give accurate booking details, arrive at the meeting point on time, bring the clothing and equipment described, and tell us about any limitation relevant to safe participation. Guests take part in activities at their own risk, within the limits of the law.
2.7 Late arrival
Contact us as soon as possible if you will be late. A late arrival may shorten the experience or mean it is missed. A guest who does not arrive is treated as a no-show and is not refunded.
