These Terms & Conditions apply to every reservation made on kanlodge.com for stays at KAN Boutique Lodge, experiences and private transportation. Please choose the section for your booking. The General section applies to all bookings. By booking you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms together with our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
1.1 Reservations & payment
Reservations are subject to availability. Full payment (100%) is required at the time of booking. A reservation is confirmed only after your payment has been received and verified and you have received your booking confirmation. Prices are in US dollars and the total shown before payment includes all applicable fees and taxes. Availability and reservations are managed through our booking system (Beds24).
1.2 Check-in & check-out
Check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00 and check-out is by 11:00, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and prior approval. Please let us know about significant arrival delays.
1.3 Children & property safety
The minimum guest age is 7 years. The lodges sit on a natural hillside above Lake Atitlán, with steep terrain, elevated platforms, stairs, terraces and unprotected natural drops. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Guests must take reasonable care on pathways, stairs, decks, bathtubs and other facilities, especially at night and in wet conditions, and must respect safety instructions and restricted areas.
1.4 Access & luggage
The lodges have pedestrian access only. Guests should expect stairs, uneven paths and a short uphill walk. Luggage assistance is available on arrival and departure. Guests with mobility concerns should contact us before booking to confirm the lodge is suitable.
1.5 Changes to reservations
Changes to dates, guest numbers or details depend on availability and may change the price. A change is confirmed only when KAN or the booking system confirms it.
1.6 Cancellation
The free-cancellation deadline and the refund rules are shown before payment and in your confirmation. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy, Lodge section.
1.7 Weather & unsafe conditions
Rain, clouds, fog, wind and reduced visibility do not entitle guests to a refund. If KAN cannot safely provide the accommodation before check-in, we will offer a suitable alternative; if you do not accept it, you receive a full refund. If, during your stay, KAN determines that the accommodation cannot safely be occupied and guests must leave, the unused nights are refunded.
1.8 Guest responsibilities
Please respect the property, the surrounding nature, neighbours and other guests. Follow safety instructions, report damage or safety concerns promptly, and do not exceed the maximum occupancy shown at booking. Guests may be held responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse or intentional acts, beyond normal use, as permitted by law.
